Celebrating Artistic Talent at MIFA: A Four-Day Drawing Contest

Written by Florent Paret | Jun 25, 2024 1:16:43 PM

This year at MIFA, the International Animation Film Market, REEMO.io had the pleasure of hosting a four-day drawing contest at our booth, where artists from various backgrounds showcased their incredible talent. Each day, we introduced a new theme, challenging participants to bring their creativity to life using Wacom tablets. The results were nothing short of amazing.

One fascinating aspect of the contest was that the artists were drawing on distant computers located elsewhere, thanks to REEMO powerful remote desktop technology. The artists felt no difference in performance or responsiveness, with perfect stylus pressure recognition, and were drawing as if they were on a local machine.

Day 1: Portraits/Faces

Our first day was all about capturing the essence of human expression. Artists focused on drawing quickly portraits and faces.

Day 2: Medieval Knights

On the second day, we journeyed back in time to the age of chivalry. The theme was medieval knights, and the artists did not disappoint. Their drawings depicted valiant knights in shining armor, each illustration rich with intricate details and a sense of historical grandeur. You can see a little bit of medieval fantasy in here!

Day 3: Sci-Fi Characters

The third day transported us into the future with sci-fi characters. This theme allowed the artists to explore the realms of imagination and creativity, resulting in a fascinating array of futuristic beings and extraterrestrial life forms. The creativity on display was boundless.

Day 4: Vessels (and more)

For the final day, the theme was vessels. We got a futuristic spacecraft navigating the cosmos. The attention to detail and the variety of designs were remarkable.

Celebrating the Artists

Throughout the four days, we were continuously impressed by the talent and dedication of all the artists who participated. Each drawing brought something unique to the table, showcasing not just technical skill but also creativity and passion.

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who participated. Your work has not only brightened our booth but also inspired many visitors who admired your drawings. It was a pleasure to see such a vibrant display of artistic talent. Please visit their galleries below, they have so much talent!
